The page I left up at MugenGuild with PSP InfinityCat information and the download
link seem to have disappeared.
That explains the youtube messages and comments on my video about it.
Here’s the video of it working with the windows version to have online matches.
What is it exactly? A Mugen clone with some added features.
Still waiting for an update, since this was released about a year ago and people still ask for it.

You use the converter that comes with the Windows version.
Quick step by step using Ryu example:
1) Install character to “chars” like normal.
2) Go in the character def file and add this line:
bin = ryu.bin
The file doesn’t exist yet, but since the character is going to be converted, it will produce this file.
3) Make a .bat file with the following:
StConv_Win32Release.exe ryu ryu.bin > ryu.log
copy ryu.bin chars\ryu
pause
Put it in your main mugen/infinitycat folder, make sure StConv_Win32Release.exe is there too
4) Run the .bat file, and it will convert the character.
Note: Not all characters will convert smoothly, because some of the code in Infinitycat isn’t up to par with MUGEN’s yet.
5)
Then you just take that whole converted “ryu” directory from your mugen “chars” folder and put it in the “chars” folder on your psp.
Add it to the select.def like normal, and enjoy.

hey how come i install the infinitycat to it…and it say the game could not be started. and my is a custom firmware 3.90 m33-3 and add 1.50 kernal to it….and nothing happen to it…if anyone could help me out.

Do I need to install a modchip in my PSP to play this? I hope not, because I wouldn’t want to reck my handheld just to play a port for a game that I already have on the computer (WinMUGEN). So does a modchip need to be used?

It’s for the Fat PSP, last I heard, DAX is working on a 1.50 kernel addon for the Slim, so it may work soon.
Some people said that eloader works, but I don’t know.

You can’t do it on a Regular store bought PSP, as-is, you need custom firmware, there’s a chance of messing it up, so installing it is a risk.
There’s guides online to do so.
Since this isn’t a PSP hacking site, I can’t go over all the details.
Google it.

A video isn’t necessary and it’s the simplest thing in the world to install it. -_-;
All you do is drag and drop the folders to your GAME folder and play.
You must have PSP Custom Firmware.

i have downloaded inf. cat for the psp put it in my GAME folder and it still gives me a error.
i tried 3.80m33-5
3.71m33-2
mostly alot of cfws,
and still nothing plz make a video on how to install inf. cat on your psp or email me & explain it.

For everybody who has a brand new shiny psp or others new to this sort of thing, you CANNOT play any homebrews;etc with the psp as-is. You must modify the psp’s firmware.
The “GAME” folder doesnt exist because it hasnt been made yet, asnd your psp is probably not modded. Google how to change your firmware to a custom FW. But be careful, as you may accidentally brick your psp.

I made to work on slim XD

I lost the InfinityCat Win32 version ages, ago.
The really dated PSP version is all I have, that’s currently uploaded on this site.
I can’t really provide support, except from my earlier comments from this article.
I don’t have any further information regarding InfinityCat, since I lost track of its developer, I don’t know if he even has a site anymore.
